Easter Celebration...

Wishing you a very Happy Easter...
As per my promise this past week, here's a few snaps of my Easter Egg Celebration Tree' I wanted to share with you. I used some 'found' gum tree branches and sticks from our local park and used a mixture of painted eggs and painted stencil birds [they remind me of little robins or sparrows] in whit, blues, pinks, and lemon yellows with a dash of green and little gold! Maybe next Easter you can start your own Easter celebration tree too... or themed for the next holiday!
Hope you like it! And hope that you have a wonderful Easter Sunday shared with family & Friends,

A 1st - 1st Birthday x

To our sweet 'baby' girl Isabelle for her 1st Birthday - Happy Birthday, little poodle! We love you so much...we're stupid crazy about you! You make it all worth while x
Like for most first time parents - we honestly don't know where the past year has flown to, and at the same time we didn't know how we'd get there and sometimes what to do!
We had a wonderful afternoon with close family and family friends - Isabelle's godparents, and their children - also our godchildren!
Needless to say I am 'pooped' after preparing all the decorations and somehow baking up a storm... the two grandmas came to the rescue with some sweet & tasty treats also - a huge help considering how time poor this week has proved to be and the beginning of the Easter celebrations today.
Will share more with you soon over this long Easter/ Anzac weekend.
Hope you had a good day,

Happy Easter!

Just in case I don't get a chance to wish you all a very Happy Easter on Sunday, I am being organised and thought I would send you my Easter wishes today...
This evening & tomorrow morning I am going mad into organising Isabelle's 1st Birthday party we're having a small afternoon tea for tomorrow! So between now & then I am baking cakes, making a no '1' birthday cake [thanks vintage Women's Weekly Birthday Cake Book!] hanging some super cute bunting, blowing up balloons, dishing out the party bags & setting the tables! All in shades of Pink & Green with stripes & spots for good measure!

So here's to your safe travels through the Easter & ANZAC long weekend, warm sunny [autumn] weather, delicious Easter eggs from the bunny and a Happy one too!
Enjoy,

BTW - will post my Easter Egg tree later on... just need to download my pics!

No. 8 Rule...

Although I prefer flats for the most part of the day,
I am partial to a gorgeous set of heels...and [I always try to hold my head & standards are often held very high indeed. I think when you can do this more often than not, there isn't a need for regret.
It would seem that this 'rule' rings truer than any sale on a pair of heels!

Thinking Green for Easter...

Thinking Green for Easter... Here's a reusable and sweet way to display Easter style blooms... simply dye eggshells [with food colouring] to be pretty pastels, or using an egg-dyeing kit. Carefully cut an opening in the top of the eggshell and fill with soil and a flower in a complementing color such as African Violets, flowering succulents or Begonias. Why not use the bottom half of your egg carton to house them in a rows. Or if you have a ceramic egg crate use it as your 'vase' to grow!
If you get a chance to complete this project please send me your photos at palatialliving@gmail.com  would love to see them and post them on Palatial Living!
Enjoy,

Loving this contemporary home set on the beach side of Great Mackerel beach. a little reasonable unknown seaside spot in on Sydney's Northern Beaches & Pittwater located opposite Palm Beach. Loving Aura...

I received the latest e-newsletter from Aura by Tracie Ellis today and I am in love with the Ikat inspired indigo duvet cover, the stippled coverlet cushions & accessories, and the rest of her range including the chevron stripes and geometric moor inspired printed shapes on linens.
How can you not be enticed... it's even worse now for me - as our new bed & side tables finally arrived on the weekend! I just have our existing timber tallboy and blanket box to revamp - sand & paint to match the new bed frame & side tables [worn  effect with off-white colouration - 'white canvas'] and some new drawer knobs for the tallboy. Aura certainly provides the perfect 'canvas' for inspirational bedlinen.... take a look at the latest collection HERE.
Enjoy,
