Mid Week House Snoop... Palatial Killara Estate "Roselyn".

A stunning, elegant, sophisticated and truly Palatial estate home ' Roselyn', located on Sydney's leafy tree lined upper north shore suburb of Killara. This home has a well combined array of styles that seem to flow through quite nicely - through use of bold Regency colours, hardwood flooring & cabinetry, plush patterned carpets and arched panelled windows. That's without mentioning the expansive lush mature grounds consisting of a tennis court , pool, pool house & park-like surrounding patio & garden areas to enjoy!
I particularly love master suite with it's custom wardrobe - perfect for even the scarves and jewellery, and also the stone paved outdoor are and casual living areas to wards the back of the home where the windows & doors open right out to the beautiful gardens... and at asking of $7.8million it also has a Palatial price tag!
Take a look, Enjoy

Mid Week House Snoop...Stunning Elegant Home.

Where do I begin to introduce another 'Killara' find this week for Mid Week House Snoop? This home is simply breathtaking - the frontage and driveway had me on the opening image for the listing... This home is both elegant & modern with a nod to it's 1890's character and style, it would be one of the top homes in the suburb with a price guide in the millions x 3 and above. I particualry love the colour schemes through out the home - take a look...

Mid Week House Snoop... A New Home on an Old Street.

Stunning frontage... Cape Code style, sympathetic styling & colouring to its environment; with a front fence & gate, and a nice driveway is on my wish list!
Gorgeous proportions for this 'formal' sitting room complete with a jet master fire - perfect any time of the year [another tick on my wish list]!

High ceilings & tall /wide picture windows always grab me - this bedroom opens straight onto the level lawn and lap pool.
Double fireplaces - here's the 2nd one - located in the open plan living / dining room, with easy care timber flooring throughout.

I fell in love with this brand new 2 storey home located on Sydney's North Shore, on one of Killara's best streets - Stanhope Road. I particularly like this new build because of it's architectural style, colouring and format is just so sympathetic to it's space & surrounding neighbours - structures - some which & who have been on this street for over 80 years - this is incredibly important especially with a new build. What grabs me [personally] is the front fence & gate - I have always wanted one - the high ceilings and the cape cod style frontage with chimney! Fabulous...

[Current] Best Palatial Gardens...

Evening dusk falls over the house and the main front garden, a tiered fountain with water lilies sits inside a
contemporary circular framed pebble garden in cut sandstone.
A combination of natural elements bring this lush formal garden together - use of stone through edging, walls, path & driveways and planting features (such as the urn & plinth) whilst the variation in foliage through shape, texture, scale & colour create carpets, walls and features.
View towards the front gate & fence captures the dense emerald mono grass that lives happily under the canopies of the large tree, whilst bright petals of the Clivias pop against the dense green spectrum of the garden.
Today I am in love with this gorgeous & highly luscious garden located in Killara on Sydney's North Shore.

Palatial Homes & Gardens - Historic Aspects

Located on Sydney's North Shore - KILLARA, Arnold Street “The Wicker”, c1913, is a landmark residence nestled amidst inspiring Peter Fudge designed gardens. Restored to meticulous standards and flowing over three impressively proportioned levels, providing an enviable lifestyle of understated elegance.

I love the gardening style of Peter Fudge, his passion for strong simple lines and appreciation for the surrounding architecture is what makes his designs in-line with balance, rhythm and unity. I adore the pre-war architecture, the elegance and sheer regality that this home and surrounding gardens portrays. The estate creates a graceful and formidable atmosphere, where Palatial Living is at it's best!
