My Desk...

Here's a moment on my desk this afternoon... I had successfully completed a day of admin and an 18 page application for an exciting [potential] project.
So can you tell that I have been working? Even the coffee cup is a sad story! I am most surprised that one or both of my dogs,  Lucy & Zach, aren't also tucked under the desk - they love to lie at my feet as I work no matter how hot it is! They're definitely great company mascots!
Tomorrow is a celebration for our national holiday - Australia Day and it's going to be a hot one at an expected 36C, and excitingly it also my parents-in-law's 37th Wedding anniversary! Coincidentally it was my parent's 39th Wedding anniversary last Saturday... gee even the family calendar is a little manic! So needless to say I am looking forward to some fresh prawns, salads, a bbq and wine, wine and champagne tomorrow! And maybe a little tidy of this desk and 'mood /message boards' of mine!

Hope you had a productive day too!
Enjoy,

Friday Flowers... At the Markets.

Happy Friday - for you Friday Flowers...here are some very fresh flowers I snapped at the Salamanca Markets in Hobart whilst away. I love the scent of Freesias - sweet, fresh and inevitably sunny - like a sunny summer afternoon, fast approaching! It's a bit of a big weekend or us - I will be celebrating with my husband our 6th Wedding Anniversary and it will also be my husband's very 1st Father's Day!
Hope you have a great weekend & are prepared for Father's Day to make your Dad, Granddad  or Husband [on behalf of your little ones!] smile! Take Care & Thank You for visiting me at Palatial Living this week. S xxx

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Wishing all my fellow Irish-man family & friends a very Happy St. Patrick's Day!
And lots of Love & Congratulations to our best friends, Jackie & Brent, on their 9th Wedding Anniversary today...
As in their wedding service booklet - a well known Irish Blessing from St Patrick, was befitting for their wedding day that held on St. Patrick's Day...

---------------
May the road rise to meet you,

May the wind be always at your back,

May the sun shine warm upon your face,

May the rains fall soft upon your fields,

And, until we meet again,

May God hold you in the hollow of His hand.

------------------------

Enjoy! x

Beautiful Lines at The Westin, Sydney.

We recently stayed at The Westin, Sydney for our [wedding] anniversary - a mark from the 5 years ago that we had stayed there on our wedding night... And still to this day the architecture and the sublime combination of old & new buildings is truly remarkable. For those who aren't sure where the Westin, Sydney it's main entrance is on Pitt Street, and is cushioned by the the GPO Martin Place. Each in their own right a footprint in Sydney's historical architectural building path, the GPO in Martni Place is most always recognised as a semi closed pedestrian walkway with the ANZAC cenotaph & the large working clock tower.
GPO, at No. 1 Martin Place, is a sleek, urban blend of food, wine and lifestyle on the lower ground floor of the heritage GPO building (previously the General Post Office) in Sydney's CBD. Restaurants, bars, cafes and Food Emporium create an uber-chic environment. The beautiful, Italian Renaissance building built in 1865 was fully refurbished in 1999 and is one of the country's landmark buildings. With its Italian Renaissance features, the lower ground floor of the GPO is not only a food and lifestyle experience, but also offers a rare glimpse at Sydney's architectural heritage, such as the original Tank Stream which is open to the public for viewing.I'm sure you'll agree it is just stunning...

Special Friday Flowers...

I am heading off a little early this weekend for a surprise getaway that my husband has planned - very excited! So in the spirit of our [5th] Wedding anniversary, one of my favourite flowers that was displayed in bloom & foliage form at our wedding & reception was the magnolia grandiflora. This plant & its' bloom has the whole package - it is so very graceful, elegant, vivaciously full, and incredible hardy - all qualities I admire...
So here's to some special Friday Flowers for your wonderful weekend ahead, take care & have fun! x S

5 Years Ago...Today.

Today is our 5th Wedding Anniversary... And like many who celebrate a milestone, especially those of wedding anniversaries, I am really not sure where 5 years has come & gone to, but what I do know is that [so far] it's been a great ride with my best friend & No. 1 fan beside me...
Happy Anniversary Darling, the best is yet to come! Always yours xxx S
