Happy Weekend x

Happy Weekend!
Hope you have had a great week... mine has been very intresting to say the least!
I tell you - you never know who you will meet, what you will do or where you might go within the course of one week!
We have a special family friend's wedding tomorrow evening in a gorgeous part of Sydney and where our little Isabelle will be a 'princess flower fairy girl' as she calls it, as flower girl. So we will all be in for a special and wonderful afternon & evening together.
Hope your weekend is as wonderfu. See you next week x
Enjoy,

I Love My Dog...

I found the above little saying - typography saying the other week via pinterest. Whenever I see or here this saying I often think of the once popular Cat Steven's song 'I Love My Dog'.  What more can I say... our poochies, fur kids, gardening buddies and office puppies - whatever you want to call them - are Zach [our now 6yr old cavoodle on the left] & his partner and leader in crime, Lucy [our 7yrd old Cavalier King Charles]...
They are the best pets for our little girl Isabelle, gardening helpers - little shadows, afternoon companion snoozers, and not to mention a great lap warmer on a cool night!

Whichever way we look at it - we love our dogs as much as they love us... I think it's a lot!
How about you do you have a fur kid that loves you as much as you love it?
Maybe it has scales or feathers?
Enjoy,

Vibrant Accents...

An empty bookcase painted Pratt & Lambert's Orange Spice sets off sparks in the living room, picked up in the custom-colored print by Galbraith & Paul on the pillows and curtains. Custom orange fabric from Lewis & Sheron Textiles. Charlotte wing chairs and sofa, coffee tables, ceramic garden stool, and Black Corbel chandelier from South of Market. Acrylic log holder by CB2. Wall paint is Benjamin Moore's Seapearl.
Orange paint sets off the Palladian details of the bookcase.

Overscale willow basket lights from South of Market help define the breakfast area in a large kitchen. Tones of gray reappear in the curtain fabric by Lewis & Sheron Textiles and the Dual Seat Counter Bench by Lee Industries. Faucet by Waterworks. Sub-Zero refrigerator. Mirror from South of Market.

I love this Kansas City Apartment profiled in House Beautiful ... the accents of vibrant orange bring a modernity to the neutral palette, that also allows you to change up the accent when the mood or fashion strikes you.
Enjoy,
An old shop awning is hung on a living room wall like a piece of art.

Colour Effects - Embroidered & Print Pattern Cushions

I simply cannot resist any of these cushions... those who know me, and have tried to sit on any of my lounges know that need to move the 5, 7, 9, 11 or so cushions out of the way just to sit down! Yes I love cushions... I make them - fabric I have collected, beautiful tea towels are a fave way of mine, and ones i have just found esp from Jim Thompson [original home, museum and shop in Bangkok Thailand].
Here's a few I loved mixing up the print, pattern, and textures...
It's amazing when you mix pattern and print - the main thing is to join them wih the same or complimentary colour palette - that way you've got a winning combination!
Have a go - Enjoy!

I'd Rather Be...

Today... I'd rather be lying on a warm sandy beach, or in a grassy green park
somewhere in the sunshine!
What would you rather be doing today?

Accessory Addiction... Statement Pieces.

Found these stunning accessories - necklace, watch, clutch and a cuff - pieces, that I just had to share with you. I think they give such a great relaxed elegant yet on-trend air about the outfit. Plus I am completely addicted to a statement necklace, or accessory piece - bangles - cuffs, bags, a scarf, or a hat [you should see my accessory board at home!} to make an outfit - especially on a plain little outfit! Instantly jazzed up!
Do you have an accessory that you're completely addicted to?
A piece like this can make it that much special x
