Whilst 'breathing in' my new Australian House & Garden [Nov '10] issue I came across my very creative & talented textile artist friend Pip's, of PipWilly, beautiful bespoke hand-printed hemp cushions, that can be found at Planet [Furniture] or for other pieces through PipWilly's online store here.I knew they were Pip's the moment I saw them - she has a truly lovely signature drawing style that is unmissable. Styled with Pip's pieces is another talented fave of Palatial Living's - Pony Rider, with their stunning 'Flowerbomb' and 'Sneakers by Chris Searl' Wall dots...I also love their 'Ribbons' cushions especially in red. All teamed with the Kiku armchairs in sumptuous Zimmer+Rhode Portico fabric from Jardan [I dream of a very deep armchair & lounge from Jardan - a lounge wishlist] and 'new love' natural wall colour - 'Rock Quarry' from Endure range Taubmans. Well done Pip - PipWilly & the team from Pony Rider on some gorgeous pieces featured in H&G this month!

Pip Willy's Best Buys for New Year [Already]!
Well I am very excited to have just received one of my 1st magazines for 2010 - the Australian House & Garden January 2010 issue just landed in my post box today! Real Living January 2010 beat it by only by a couple of days... But I hear you say - what January '10 issues already, well in magazine production world as I suspect is, much like the fashion/ clothing industry we have already put away Easter and Mother's Day and are onto close to season trend & colour forecasts for Summer '10/'11.
But my excitement does not stop at just getting my new H&G issue - it is because my good friend, and colleague, Pip Wilkinson, owner & stellar designer of 'Pip Willy' is heavily featured in this H&G issue!

This is not the first time Pip has been featured in our fave Australian interior decor & design mags - her product & designs have graced the pages of Australian Home Beautiful, Inside Out and Australian House & Garden previously over the past year. Here I have posted her editorial splurge with 2 pieces that have been featured in 'Best Buys Under $200' on page 20, and page 24 from H&G's January '10 issue.
But hang in there there's more - will post next - on the fabulous editorial piece on Pip, as a 'Dream Weaver' in 'Wizard's of Oz - Special Design Talent - 25 Designers putting Australia style on the map...'.
To find out more about Pip & importantly on how to get your hands on Pip's product & special requests you can contact her through her website Pip Willy.

Beautiful Handwriting ...Bespoke Designs by PipWilly

Over the weekend I visited the LifeInStyle trade fair in Sydney where I found so many wonderful new suppliers & beautiful products... one in particular was 'Pip Willy'. I must profess that I am slightly bias towards 'Pip Willy' - as it is my good friend, Pip's business & I also helped her with the styling of her stand at the fair [I will post photos of the stand from LifeInStyle shortly].
However, just being bias won't cut the mustard when your product is on show - & WOW does Pip - for 'Pip Willy', cut the mustard - actually the whole sandwich!! Here I have posted some of her products from her website. Pip has also been featured in Home Beautiful, Australian House & Garden - and about to be an upcoming issue for Inside Out, and she just told me that she has been invited to Fashion Exposed a trade only fair (in the next few weeks) for her bespoke printed skirts! [Will try and get some photos of the skirts on parade!].
Pip is a talented textile & graphic designer - through her work she uses multiple media techniques including sketching, drawing & tracing natural objects and then graphic design CAD programs to then translates these designs into hand screen printed works onto hand selected beautiful fabrics. Each print is then transposed in fabric lengths to be made into object - be it drum shades, lamps, cushions, skirts, stretched over canvas as an piece of art.
You can find Pip's work on her website Pip Willy and also on Hard To Find, and Eastern Weft.
