To Brighten Your Day...

I'm sorry I have missed you & posting regularly on Palatial Living these past couple of weeks... I am getting used to [another] new routine and just trying to find the 'happy' balance with work, jobs, family & friends, & my overall health [sanity]!I promise I will get there soon - but in the meantime I want to thank you for your patience and kinds comments...

So here's a little something I know would like on my desk or table - to brighten your Monday!

Flowers for Friday...Happy Weekend!

Happy Friday! I love this bright living room - I don't usually like 'yellow' as a main decorating colour more as an accent tor highligh, than as a main hue - but somehow in this space - combined with the raspberry pink red & off-white it really works. All colours share a 'muddier' grey base - they share the same value - and are therefore cohesive - one is not 'fighting' the other because they all share the same base. But really - I picked these images because I love the mixed pink peonies vased and placed on the tray coupled with a few books & favourite objects on the ottoman. A small casual vignette  that brings an 'organic' personal touch to the room.

This weekend I am 'taking it easy' getting rid of this bug for a start, and preparing to organise & de-clutter the home office project before ordering furniture & pieces. Plus a nice late afternoon sunny snooze somewhere fitted in!

Happy Birthday... To My Mum!

Mum, this post is for you... Just as the Peonie - you're feminine, have many layers that seem to sit so well together, are vibrant in many 'colours' of the season, are strong, and always admired. You always check out my posts on Palatial Living, if not, than almost everyday with your email comments of encouragement, or how I might have inspired you with another of 'my ideas'...

Happy Birthday... to Kylie xx

It's my darling sister-in-law, Kylie's, 30th Birthday [although it is actually on Monday 9th Feb]... tonight we're looking forward to sharing & beginning the celebrations for her entry to her [dirty] thirties with drinks & snacks, followed by dinner on Saturday evening by the bech. So here's to wishing my beautiful sister-in-law, Kylie, a very Happy & Wonderful 30th Birthday, welcome to the next best decade in your life - may it be full of promise, new adventures, love, laughter, success & wonderful times with family & friends ...

I found these Peonies to celebrate Kylie's birthday, they remind me so much of her - vibrant, gorgeous, feminine and always wanted!
