Hello May!

 Ummm Hello May!
Where did my April go?? Did part of your year already feel like this?
April was such an amazing month...
Amongst a family wedding [Mr Palatial's - sister Kylie & now officially brother in law - Jim, more late]; Birthdays - Mr Palatial's Nana, and Two of my Grandmothers - 92years old and 85years old respectively, a God Daughter's 3rd birthday and our Little 'Is' who turned a feisty 'independent 2!'.
Then we were in the midst for a celebration of life as we farewelled Mr Palatial's Great Grandmother Caroline - whom at 109 years old & 7 months packed out her memorial service with family and many friends over her gorgeously lived life.

A few snaps I have posted from our recent little sojourn to our Nation's capital - Canberra over an extended weekend. These gorgeous park shots were taken at Commonwealth Park - a well known place for stunning deciduous trees of all varieties, sitting on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin - and home to many stunning Black Swans. This park is also home to an annual colour display that was in panning whilst we there 'Floriade'. Our little Is loved playing in the park, running along the crushed granite pathways, into the stone hill tunnel and castle play area, over the bridges and chasing and chased by the water birds!
If you get a chance to pop to Canberra for a little bit it would have to be one of the prettiest times to see it...
Thank for stopping by Palatial Living... See you soon.
Enjoy,

Happy Easter!

Just in case I don't get a chance to wish you all a very Happy Easter on Sunday, I am being organised and thought I would send you my Easter wishes today...
This evening & tomorrow morning I am going mad into organising Isabelle's 1st Birthday party we're having a small afternoon tea for tomorrow! So between now & then I am baking cakes, making a no '1' birthday cake [thanks vintage Women's Weekly Birthday Cake Book!] hanging some super cute bunting, blowing up balloons, dishing out the party bags & setting the tables! All in shades of Pink & Green with stripes & spots for good measure!

So here's to your safe travels through the Easter & ANZAC long weekend, warm sunny [autumn] weather, delicious Easter eggs from the bunny and a Happy one too!
Enjoy,

BTW - will post my Easter Egg tree later on... just need to download my pics!

Hello October!

Wow, I cannot believe October is here already! As one of my favourite months in the year for a few good reasons - a) it's my birthday month, b) it's Halloween [which is my actual birthday day & for fun celebrations for my friends in the Untied States]; c) New South Wales [my home state] gets Daylight Savings this weekend, and d) for New South Welshman and a few other Australian states we get the Labor Day October Long Weekend! And finally e) it's the start of the Sydney Food Festival... yum!
Not to forget all the gorgeous trees budding new leaves and all the blossom branches, the lawns get thicker and grow so much faster, warmer & longer days,  fabulous picnic & boating weather, and also a great time to spruce up your home before the Christmas festivities are upon us! Spring really is upon us in October!
